Emergency Chocolate

Sometimes you just need a little piece of chocolate. Amen?
But what if there is none in the house? And the kids are already in bed?

You can't just run to the store at 11pm for chocolate, can you?

But, you can make these little beauties right in your own kitchen!
And oh my word... these are SO incredible.  And simple. And quick.

You are seriously less than 15 minutes away from pure bliss.

And, not that it matters in a true chocolate emergency, but these are actually good for you. They are made without refined sugar, contain coconut oil (which is so good for you), and have only 5 clean ingredients!

1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup high quality cocoa powder
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter*

1/4 cup raw honey*
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Melt coconut oil
Put all of the ingredients into the blender, and blend
Pour into cupcake liners in a muffin pan, or directly into a silicon muffin pan
Chill for 30 minutes, or better yet, freeze for 10 minutes
Store in either the refrigerator, or freezer, in a sealed container

healthy chocolate

*You can swap out the peanut butter for any other nut butter, and the raw honey for maple syrup

  1. Yes, I am addicted to chocolate.... This looks like something I have to make... I know it wasn't intended, but you've even included the secret step of hiding in the freezer until needed... lol
    Hugs, antonella :-)

    1. Haha! I may or may not have a secret stash hidden in the freezer :o) I made a batch using those little silicone molds for ice cubes (from the Target $1 section) and they are the perfect little emergency size!
