The first peaches were ready this week, and so starts Peach Madness!
My favorite way to make oatmeal is on the stove top, even though I rarely do these days. It reminds me of my grandma and how everytime I spent a weekend at her house, there would be a pot of oatmeal cooking on the stove when I woke up. She served it all different ways, but peaches and cream was always a favorite.
Ingredients
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1/2 peach chopped
DirectionsOn work days, I put all of the ingredients into a microwave safe bowl, and heat for 2 minutes. Of the weekends though, we quadruple the recipe slow cook it on the stove top.
